Chicago actress Melissa Malan has been cast in the lead role in Herbivore Productions' first film project, a short movie entitled "A Loving Memory".
"A Loving Memory" is a story about a young woman named Melissa who, after witnessing a violent murder, slips into a downward spiral of madness, pushing her to the brink of her own sanity. Nightmarish visions distort her recollection of the events surrounding the night of the murder as she tries to convey the brutality of the killing in a phone conversation, all the while attempting to regain control of her life. Throughout the film, Melissa undergoes a transformation from innocence to impurity to empowerment, climaxing in a rite of passage that leads to a twisted redemption and a new found sense of self.
