Melissa Malan

How can we possibly describe Melissa Malan in a paragraph?  She's an amazing actress, a brilliant director, a wonderful human being (and that's just the start!)  Melissa has starred in three Herbivore Productions thus far ("A Loving Memory", "Gless", and "The Mockingbird"), co-directed "Gless", and helped develop the story for "The Mockingbird."  Outside of Herbi, Melissa has appeared in numerous stage  and film productions in St. Louis, Chicago, and Los Angeles (where she now calls home.)  It can truly be said that we never would have gotten off the ground without her.

Rebecca Steer

Actress Rebecca Steer starred in her first Herbivore Production "The Mockingbird" and was so damn good that she went ahead and jumped into the lead role of our first official HerbiShort "How Deep Is The Rabbit Hole?"  Rebecca is an incredible actress and model and has appeared in stage and film productions across the United States (and even did a little work over there in Europe!)  No one swings a paddle or wields a knife like she can!

Chris Tyre

The director of photography and editor for "A Loving Memory" Chris Tyre has his own site featuring his original photography, video, and other artistic mediums.  He also designed our awesome logo (that alone is enough reason to check him out!)

Gari Hart

A long time friend who currently is a film critic for the Chicago Examiner, Gari once sat through a viewing of the film "Salo" without blinking until the last credit rolled.  And THEN he fell asleep!  Follow this link to read all of his movie reviews (the best and most honest ones in Chicago.)  A special "thank you" goes his way for his stellar article on Herbivore Productions (wink, wink...)

John Borowski

Award winning filmmaker John Borowski has made two incredible documentary films (one chronicling the life of serial killer and maniacal genius H.H. Holmes and the other about pedophile and cannibal Albert Fish) and is currently working on his third.  Check out his site to see what he's up to and view the trailers for his movies!

Chris Batte

Chris Batte is an independent filmmaker whose first film "Left Field" (a documentary about Chicago's unofficial kickball league) has been featured in film festivals across the United States.  Both funny and intriguing, it's a doc you gotta check out (especially if you're a fan of the sport!)

Krist Neumann

The special effects make up extraordinaire from the northern Illinois  suburbs not only created a horrifying (and memorable) character for "Gless", but has also had his work featured in dozens of films, stage productions, and Great America's "Fright Fest"!  And he makes puppets!  If your production is in need of the most talented and professional special effects artist in the Chicagoland area, check him out!!

MT Coffinz

Specializing in hand made goth / punk / industrial apparel, Jinx and Riven are two awesome fashion designers from the East Coast who made our nurses' masks for "The Mockingbird", adding a whole new level of creepy to our movie!  We are thankful to them for their professionalism and bitchin' products!  Check 'em out and support indie fashion!

Chicago Filmmakers

Situated in the Andersonville neighborhood on Chicago's north side, Chicago Filmmakers not only offers classes in different areas of film making, but also showcases obscure indie films in their intimate theater area!  And they were awesome enough to host the "Gless" premiere party!  Check 'em out and help support independent cinema.
